After a couple of intense days at the sewing machine, all the stars for A La Mode are done, and not before time! Making the same block over and over for several days is a bit tiring after a while.
As a side distraction, I made up a couple of cute pincushions from the bits of left-over layer cake.
I also received the latest Thimble Blossoms patterns today; I'm in love with Marmalade, and it'll be first on my list once Bliss arrives. I'm also a bit sweet on the Bliss version of Wild Thing...

They are lovely star blocks and sweet pincushions. That's a terrific pattern. ann...
love those blocks and the cute pincushions, i'm horrible at making pincushions
Love your A La Mode blocks. Any pattern that combines both stars and pinwheels is a win-win in my oppinion.
I love the pincushions. Such a great way to use left over material.
Hi Kate!
Your stars look great!
I always save the itty bitty little pieces left over from projects to make pincushions, too ;o) (I'm a bit behind, but initially I planned to make one Tuffet (or other pincushion) from every project I do).
'Marmalade' looks yummy...and I'm sure 'Wild Thing' would be super sweet with 'Bliss'.
Have a fabulous day,
Julia
