Mathilda's Market

Yesterday was my first ever Mathilda's Market, after applying repeatedly over the past 18 months. I'd visited the market and seen the crowds, and heard lots of good things about it, so I was expecting a fabulous day.

Unfortunately it didn't really live up to expectations. Myself and a group of retailers were in a secondary room at the hall with no aircon; a very unpleasant experience on a 34 degree day. This seemed to result in a bit of a crowd reduction, as no one wants to hang around a hot, sweltering room....

On the upside, the response to my stall was very positive. Lots of visitors, and plenty of business cards taken. And the grey bunting print from the Reunion range was a smash hit.

Next month I'll be at the Huckleberry Market in Mornington; Amy (the organiser) popped by to say hi yesterday which was lovely.

Update: Mathilda's have the owners of the hall looking into the aircon issues, and I've been offered a stall at the upcoming Boutique Market on the 18th of March.
