Whimsy Clear Out

Listing my Hunky Dory fabrics on here during the week went better than I expected, so I'm doing it again. This time it's Whimsy by Fig Tree for Moda, released in 2010. I'm listing total meterage available, but happy to sell by the meter, or the whole lot. Looking for around $12 per meter. Postage is $2 for 1m, $6.20 for up to 3m, and $10.55 after that. Door Snake

With the weather turning cold and windy this week, it seemed like a good a time as any to make a new door snake. The old one was starting to look its age, particularly as it's been patched due to Millie using it as a chew toy when she was a puppy. It's been relegated to the laundry door to keep the dogs warmer at night, and I've made a cute Whimsy one for the front door.

Bella's already keeping an eye on it.

I cut the material 6.5" by 34", stitched, flipped, then filled with wheat. Sand also works well, but wheat was what I had on hand. Ta da!

One Last Stocking

I've had a bit of a break from sewing after going into full production mode for the maker's market, and just been taking it easy. But I'm heading into my old work tomorrow and wanted to drop off a gift for my friend's little boy.

So, I whipped up another stocking; this one using scraps of 12 Days of Christmas left over from the other stockings. Just 3" squares, then quilted on the diagonal.



Backed with another 12 Days fabric, and lined with Bliss tonal green. I love it!


I've also quilted and bound a second cot quilt for the market...I'm liking this one a lot.

Cot Quilts

Two cute little cot quilts. The first is done using the Wild Thing block, in a 4x5 configuration with a narrow border, and using Whimsy.

The second is a simple coin quilt, 16 coins per stack, 2.5 inch (unfinished) sashing and a 5 inch (unfinished) border, using Hunky Dory.
