Kaleidoscope Quilt

With a full time job, my sewing time seems to be getting less and less. And with the warmer weather finally approaching I don't see it getting any better. But I did finally manage to start a new project!

I've been blissfully eyeing off a Gooseberry Jelly roll, from the lovely Lella Boutique.

And who could go past her gorgeous Kaleidoscope pattern? I found a little time over the weekend (apart from a tonne of spring cleaning) to whip up the first few blocks. They are super easy! No crazy points to line up at all.

 

I can already tell I'm going to love this quilt.

Churn Dash Baby Quilt

Sometimes you just need a quilt in a hurry, and last weekend was one of those. One of my friends recently had a baby and I desperately wanted a quilt to gift her when we visited. Then I remembered the single-block churn dash quilt in the Thimble Blossom's book Simply Retro. Perfect!

Starstruck by Daysail

After a hiccup I've finally finished my Starstruck quilt. Just need time to quilt it.

I'm loving those red borders.

Starstruck Quilt

I know my blog is a little neglected these days. I sarted a full time job recently and it means my sewing and blogging time is greatly reduced. But there have been a few things happening in what little spare time I have.

My newest project is Starstruck, a pattern from Lella Boutique. I've chosen to use Bonnie and Camille's Daysail.

The snowball blocks have gone together quickly and easily. I wasn't sure about the teal but I love how they turned out.

And I'm making good progress on the stars, squeezing a few in when I get a minute or ten.

This quilt should come together in no time.

Maker from Art Gallery Fabrics

I've been working recently to stock the shop with a few more low volume fabric options, and Maker from Art Gallery is just perfect. Featuring pins, scissors and other craft-related motifs.
