Off and Quilting!

Finally I've got my Scrappy Trip in the machine. I was going to use a zigzag/honeycomb quilting line, but after one row I wasn't too keen, so I 'unquilted' it and went with my original plan: two straight lines down the sides if every row.

I may turn the quilt around and do the same in the other direction, but at the moment I like the look and feel of it. And it's far less lines than my Hopscotch quilt!

The sewing room has been sanded and washed down today; painting happens Saturday!

The quilting looks great! I hadn't thought of a zig zag and wish my machine had the wavy line stitch. Hope we get to see the room when it's finished.

Your straight-line quilting is looking wonderful. Can't wait to see your new sewing room.

Love it! Inspired idea for the quilting.
Emma of Ballarat Patchwork is quilting her Rainbow Squares quilt in a very similar fashion and I think it really works well with the small squares. Your work is very neat!
